Quintal Road extends a connection to Upper Whangateau Road across rolling pasture with views of the harbour
In the late 19th century many roads were defined in the district that were never formed. These roads are commonly called "paper roads" as is the connection between the end of the formed section of Quintal Road and Upper Whangateau Road. It lies across rolling pasture and some patches of bush. There are views across the Omaha River - an arm of the Whangateau Harbour.
